Meta-Cognitive Therapy

What is Meta-Cognitive Therapy?

Metacognitive therapy targets psychological processes that are involved in the management and control of issues such as anxiety, depression and other related issues. Therapy involves a blend of CBT, mindfulness and meta-awareness processes. Therapy is focused upon improving an individual’s meta-awareness and thereby disrupt unhelpful patterns of psychological thought and functioning. This includes behaviours, thought patterns and underlying thought assumptions creating issues of mental health.
