Psychology Practice

Leichhardt Psychology Practice is a growing practice working to support adults and adolescents in the Inner West Community. The goal of Leichhardt Psychology is to explore individual needs and issues in a safe and supportive environment. 

Psychologists use a biopsychosocial approach considering biological, psychological and social factors relevant to a person’s wellbeing.

Our Approaches

Meet Howard, our

Principal Psychologist

Howard has worked in private practice and schools for 10 years with adults and adolescents with core issues such as anxiety and depression. Howard has also works with issues such as anger managementstress management, acute stress disorder, childhood sexual assault, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress, grief and loss, perinatal depression and relational issues.

Howard’s treatment approach includes a client centred focus coupled with mindfulness, positive psychology and acceptance commitment therapy influences. The client centred approach builds a supportive framework to understand each individual’s unique case whilst fostering self-awareness. Different approaches such as positive psychology aim to reconnect individuals with their strengths and assist in personal growth and development.

Howard structures therapy using evidence based approaches such as CBT, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Meta-Cognitive Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Approaches and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
